Plush Spirit Hippo (16cm)

Bring the spirit of Africa home with the Plush Spirit Hippo (16cm). This beautifully crafted plush spirit hippo is part of our Spirit of Africa collection, inspired by the continent’s rich wildlife heritage. At about 16cm, it is the perfect size for cuddling, displaying or gifting.

Why Kids Love the Plush Spirit Hippo

First of all, the hippo is one of Africa’s most fascinating animals. Hippos spend most of the day in rivers and dams to stay cool, coming out at night to graze. In fact, even though they look slow, hippos can run surprisingly fast on land. For example, kids can splash it in the bath, set up a pretend river or pop it in a pocket for adventures. This sweet little hippo even wears a proudly South African flag. As a result, it sparks loads of imaginative play and curiosity about the natural world.

Learning About African Wildlife

Wildlife plush toys are also wonderful for learning. For instance, parents can use it to talk about rivers, wetlands and how hippos protect their skin from the sun. Meanwhile, cuddling a soft toy helps children feel calm and secure. On top of that, pretend safari games build language and storytelling.

A Plush Spirit Hippo Makes a Proudly African Gift

This hippo makes a meaningful gift for children, overseas visitors and anyone who loves African wildlife. It is also a favourite souvenir for tourists and a lovely gift to post to family abroad.
