Plush Spirit Ostrich (45cm)

Bring the spirit of Africa home with the Plush Spirit Ostrich (45cm). This beautifully crafted plush spirit ostrich is part of our Spirit of Africa collection, inspired by the continent’s rich wildlife heritage. At about 45cm, it is the perfect size for cuddling, displaying or gifting.

Why Kids Love the Plush Spirit Ostrich

First of all, the ostrich is one of Africa’s most fascinating animals. The ostrich is the largest bird in the world and the fastest runner on two legs. In fact, an ostrich egg is so big it is the same as about two dozen chicken eggs. For example, kids can race it across the room, make its long neck peek around corners or pretend it is laying a giant egg. As a result, it sparks loads of imaginative play and curiosity about the natural world.

Learning About African Wildlife

Wildlife plush toys are also wonderful for learning. For instance, parents can use it to talk about birds that cannot fly, and about the famous ostrich farms of Oudtshoorn. Meanwhile, cuddling a soft toy helps children feel calm and secure. On top of that, pretend safari games build language and storytelling.

A Plush Spirit Ostrich Makes a Proudly African Gift

This ostrich makes a meaningful gift for children, overseas visitors and anyone who loves African wildlife. It is also a favourite souvenir for tourists and a lovely gift to post to family abroad.
